tune in next time to hear charlotte say.....

So, working at the movies i get to enjoy my "benefit" of seeing free movies.  Yet even better, I get to experience all different types of people.  Studying in the field of anthropology this is exciting to me, but sometimes it can leave me with disturbing images.

For example..

Yesterday I finally had the chance to go see Inglorious Basterds.  Despite having to cover my eyes it was an excellent movie. Which is completely besides the point i'm trying to make.  I looked around at the other "movie-goers" (movie theatre speak) and noticed a lot of them were older.  Which makes sense because I was seeing the 1:45 showing on a Wednesday afternoon.

So an elderly man gets up and walks to the trash can. I'm in a seating position that gives me viewing of the trash can but I'm not really paying attention until i start hearing him make a lot of noise.  A noise like undoing his belt. Then he gets a plastic bag out of his camo cargo pant's pocket.

and proceeds to relieve himself in the plastic bag. It was disgusting.  Even in a Quentin Tarantino movie. I didn't know whether to go tell someone to kick him out or just tell him that it was extremely inappropriate.  The man was old but wasn't old enough to be doing that.  He was strong enough to walk without stumbling or holding onto something.  The man could go to the bathroom and miss the movie for 4 minutes.

Needless to say I just shut my mouth and kept watching the movie. Brad Pitt was able to take my mind off of it.

You'd think it was still the 1400s when men had a piss pot next to the bed.
I'm so glad we've evolved enough to rid of that practice.

More to come.. these things do happen very often. It's disgusting, but thats the life of a college student who works at a movie theatre.
